    Description

    Job Description

    The candidate's major roles and responsibilities will be:

    Media and Public Relations:

    • Responsible for comprehensive PR strategies aligned with communication pillars & annual communication story line, to deliver outstanding results.

    • Responsible for all Public Relation aspect (to identify right people, focused conferences and public events for SAFRAN Group Leadership speaking engagements/speaker placement) and run effective PR campaigns, advocacy and outreach programs.

    • Develop deep trust based relationship with local press reporters and media houses to explore opportunities with then to further SAFRAN Business interests in India and the region. Be a spokesperson for the Group in India

    • Identify all possible communication opportunities (direct & indirect) for SAFRAN Group and its businesses operating in India to build the brand image and reputation.

    • Track, monitor and advice participation in all potential civil and defense events and seminars which may be useful for SAFRAN Groups India strategy.

    • Develop, maintain and expand close relationship with all current Indian customers (Commercial airlines and DPSUs/Armed Forces) and more specifically with DGCA, MoCA & MoD on policy and regulatory side. Attain a level of influence to be able to drive new policies/rules.

    • Monitor, report and counter all communication on competitor side with relevant stakeholders, specially affecting SAFRAN Business Interests.

    Communication:

    • Prepare a comprehensive communication strategy aligned to SAFRAN Groups country priorities (for OEM sales, MRO sales and new developmental projects). Towards that prepare , execute and track a quarterly & annual communication plan for SAFRAN Group in India

    • Interact actively on Social Media platforms, SAFRAN Website and Online media platforms to amplify corporate brand and messages aligned to SAFRAN Group needs.

    • Collate marketing data and coordinate sales campaigns with communication support for respective SAFRAN companies in India.

    • Provide communication support to the Business Commercial and Support teams as and when requested for conveying their messages to end customer and policy makers using all possible means of communication.

    • Successfully support major events in the country (inaugurations, trade shows...)

    • Prepare a comprehensive and specific communication deck for different needs which would arise from time to time (like write-up/PPT/Videos for short talk, long talk for Seminars and formal presentation to government by SAFRAN Senior Management etc).

    • Handle, in close coordination with respective Managing Directors/HRs, standardize all internal communications to drive a common message using newsletters and strategic events/milestone celebrations for all SAFRAN entities in India.

    • Communicate, Coordinate, Convince and obtain Buy-in from all India Business Head for PR & Communication strategy.

    • Prepare and present half yearly KPI for communication & PR plan effectiveness to CEO, Safran India and to Group Communication.

    • Support SAFRAN India for solidarity initiatives (like CSR).

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • 15 or more years of experience in related field of PR & Communication.

    • The candidate needs to be smart, self-driven and proactive in his/her approach and should be able to work with SAFRAN Group Communication team located in Paris as well as with site leadership across India.

    • He/She must possess skill of strategic and corporate communication in particular media relations and preparation of spokespeople and leadership and event management

    • He/She needs to have adequate experience in handling a similar portfolio and keen interest in Defence and Aerospace domain.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to make professional presentations, represent the Group Safran publicly, be a spokesperson and write focused articles.

    • He/She should be able to interact with senior-ranking functionaries in the Indian government, Defence Services, DPSUs (HAL, BEL etc) and R&D establishments, so as to conduct regular informal/formal exchanges.

    • He/She must have good and reliable contacts with Indian Press and Media houses to support SAFRAN Group's India narrative seamlessly.

    • Demonstrated ability of coordinating large communication campaigns in past for any major international organization.

    • Ability to work independently but also within a team environment

    • Effective at creating consensus utilizing a collaborative, inclusive and engaging decision-making process.

    • Ability to understand business challenges, strength in connecting dots and people.

    • Bachelor's Degree from a reputed institute; Advanced Qualification preferred.
