    Description

    Reliance Jio is looking for skilled OpenStack & Cloud Infrastructure professionals to join our growing cloud team.

    Location: Pune & Guwahati

    Experience: 6yrs - 10yrs

    • Own end-to-end architecture, implementation, and operations of Red Hat OpenStack Platform in large-scale production environments
    • Design highly available and scalable OpenStack architecture across control plane, compute, networking, and storage layers
    • Lead advanced deployment and lifecycle management using Director (TripleO) including upgrades, scale-out/in, and node replacement
    • Act as L3 escalation point for complex issues across OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Glance, Cinder, Keystone, Heat, Horizon)
    • Architect, integrate, and optimize multi-backend storage including Red Hat Ceph Storage and NetApp within OpenStack
    • Design and manage external storage integrations with OpenStack (Cinder/Glance) using iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS backends
    • Lead NetApp Cinder driver integration, backend configuration, volume types, QoS, and performance tuning
    • Plan and execute storage availability zones, tiering strategies, and data protection designs
    • Architect and troubleshoot advanced Neutron networking (ML2, OVS / OVN, VLAN/VXLAN, provider networks, multi-tenant isolation)
    • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage layers for Sev-1 / Sev-2 incidents
    • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent corrective actions
    • Design and implement automation using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting for Day-0 to Day-2 operations
    • Define and enforce security architecture including RBAC, Keystone policies, identity integration (LDAP/AD), and platform hardening
    • Integrate OpenStack with enterprise infrastructure such as external load balancers, firewalls, monitoring, backup, and DR solutions
    • Work closely with Red Hat and storage vendors for critical bugs, fixes, and architectural validations
    • Provide technical leadership by mentoring L1/L2 teams and reviewing design and operational changes
    • Create and maintain HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational runbooks

    Experience & Skill Level

    • 7+ years of experience in OpenStack engineering and cloud infrastructure
    • Strong hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenStack Platform in production
    • Deep Linux expertise (RHEL), virtualization (KVM), and distributed systems
    • Strong understanding of networking (L2/L3, BGP concepts, MTU, bonding)
    • Proven experience handling mission-critical environments
    • RHCE / OpenStack certifications preferred; OpenShift exposure is a plus
