The Accounts Manager will play a key role in managing and overseeing the financial health of our organization. This position requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting, financial management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
1) Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
2) Monitor day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
3) Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
1) with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
2) Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
3) Recommend adjustments to budget allocations as needed.
Financial Reporting:
1) Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2) Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.
Compliance and Auditing:
1) Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
2) Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Team Management:
1) Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
2) Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities.
Relationship Management:
1) Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
2) Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Continuous Improvement:
1) Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and implement efficiency measures.
2) Stay abreast of industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or other professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred.
10+ years of proven experience in accounting or financial management roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements in India.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using accounting software Tally and MS Office Suite (Excel Mandatory).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
