    Overview:

    The MeltingSupervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the melting andcasting processes within the organizations manufacturingoperations. They are responsible for ensuring the efficient andsafe operation of the melting department while maintaininghighquality standards.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Supervise andcoordinate melting operations to achieve productiontargets
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocolsand regulations during meltingprocesses
    • Monitor and maintain furnaceoperations and temperature control
    • Coordinatewith maintenance team for equipment repairs andmaintenance
    • Implement and enforce qualitycontrol measures for molten metal
    • Train mentorand manage melting departmentpersonnel
    • Optimize melting processes forefficiency and costeffectiveness
    • Keep inventoryof raw materials and ensure theiravailability
    • Collaborate with other departmentsto support production schedules
    • Troubleshootand resolve operational issues in a timelymanner
    • Develop and maintain operationalprocedures and documentation
    • Conduct regularinspections to ensure adherence to operationalstandards
    • Participate in hiring and onboardingof new melting department staff
    • Participate incontinuous improvement initiatives for meltingprocesses
    • Ensure compliance with environmentalhealth and safetyregulations

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelors degree inMetallurgical Engineering Materials Science or relatedfield
    • Previous experience in a supervisory orleadership role within a melting or castingenvironment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of meltingand casting processes and equipment
    • Strongunderstanding of safety and environmentalregulations
    • Excellent problemsolving anddecisionmaking skills
    • Ability to effectivelycommunicate and collaborate with crossfunctionalteams
    • Proven leadership abilities and personnelmanagement skills
    • Qualityfocused with acommitment to continuous improvement
    • Ability towork in a fastpaced and demanding manufacturingenvironment
    • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
    • Certification in industrialsafety and health practices is aplus
    • Experience with lean manufacturingprinciples and practices
    • Proficiency in usingmelting and castingrelated software andsystems
    • Flexibility to work in shifts andrespond to operational needs
    • Physical abilityto stand lift and move heavy materials asrequired
