- Assess software delivery throughput (velocity) and code stability (quality).
- Leverage UML diagrams.
- Promote the usage of code quality and code security analyzers, like Checkmarx.
- Implement threshold checks for unit test coverages within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Perform thorough code reviews.
- Must be "very" strong in Java. We want Java engineers that really passionate about Java and take the time to understand why they do things a certain way.

- Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years prior experience in application design, delivery, leading teams, working on challenging problems at scale.
- Innovative leader capable of solving complex problems and leading application development teams to deliver business-critical, enterprise solutions.
- Strong mentoring skills
- Back end developer with experience in JAVA, Spring boot, Python, node
- Has some level of understanding or experience in working on AWS services like S3, VPC, glue, lambda, Aurora.
- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish a high level of credibility with business users/stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and conflict management skills.
- Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex and technical information in an understandable way.

Position Overview:

The role of the Senior System Architect / Senior Software Engineer is an opportunity for a proven leader and technical expert in application delivery to help set and execute the design, engineering standards, and delivery processes, across Payment Integrity Solutions in the Provider Technology organization.
Job Description:
As a Senior member of the team, the candidate will work with a highly Agile team to develop, execute, validate, and maintain a suite of integrated software products. The candidate must be passionate about technology and is always looking to further their personal knowledge and expertise. The ideal team member will be creative, responsive, flexible, and willing to participate in an open and collaborative peer environment. The candidate enjoys working in a team of high performers, who hold each other accountable to perform to their very best and does not shy away from opportunities to provide and take feedback amongst their fellow team members.
Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution. Documents, tests, implements, and provides on-going support for the applications. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. This role will focus on the achievement of departmental objectives and financial goals. Will play a significant part in achieving functional / technical delivery to our business, ensuring that priorities are met, and appropriate business value is delivered.
