    Job Title:
    Decision Analyst at BMS


    Summary:

    The Decision Analyst will have a pivotal role at BMS, focusing on the application of advanced statistical analysis and optimization techniques to drive data-informed decision-making.

    This professional will be tasked with creating and implementing various models and strategies to offer actionable insights and recommendations aimed at boosting business performance and fostering growth in the region.



    Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Develop, oversee, and implement advanced statistical models and optimization techniques to tackle intricate business challenges.
    • Collaborate with diverse teams to collect and analyze data, define problem statements, and establish KPIs for decision-making.
    • Utilize statistical analysis, regression modeling, clustering, and segmentation to identify trends and drivers within the data.
    • Perform portfolio analyses to enhance resource allocation, product positioning, and investment strategies.
    • Design and supervise test setups to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and other business endeavors.
    • Establish measurement frameworks and KPI dashboards for monitoring business performance and offering actionable insights to stakeholders.
    • Engage with international and country-based stakeholders to grasp business goals and transform them into actionable projects and recommendations.
    • Keep abreast of industry trends, new methodologies, and best practices in statistical analysis and decision support.
    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior analysts and team members as needed.


    Skills & Competencies:
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing, overseeing, and implementing advanced statistical models and decision support techniques for solving complex business problems.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across functions to analyze data, define problem statements, and pinpoint KPIs for decision-making.
    • Experience in statistical analysis, regression modeling, clustering, and segmentation to reveal data trends and influencers.
    • Capability in portfolio analyses to optimize resource distribution, product placement, and investment strategies.
    • Proficiency in designing and managing test scenarios to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns, pricing approaches, and other business strategies.
    • Creation of measurement frameworks and KPI dashboards for monitoring and providing actionable insights to stakeholders at international and country-specific levels.
    • Engagement with various stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and translate them into practical projects and recommendations.
    • Continuous learning about industry trends, emerging methodologies, and best practices in statistical analysis, optimization, and decision support.
    • Offering training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members and analysts when required.


    Experience:
    • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field like Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Operations Research.
    • Substantial background (typically 5+ years) in decision analysis, statistical modeling, or optimization, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical sector.
    • Proficiency in handling extensive datasets, utilizing statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python), data visualization tools (Tableau), and application development platforms (e.g., Domino).
    • Experience with descriptive/explanatory models, regression modeling, clustering, segmentation, and portfolio analysis.
    • Familiarity with the biopharma industry, encompassing market dynamics, regulatory standards, and healthcare data sources, notably within European, Asian, and Latin/South American regions.
    • Track record of project management and team leadership.
    • Fluency in business English is a prerequisite; proficiency in other major languages such as German, French, etc., is advantageous.
