Description

We are hiring for "Technical Editor" role for a product-based company for Chennai location its a remote opportunity on contract basis.

Required:

Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, English, communication, or technical writing, or equivalent experience.

Experience that includes 4-7+ years editing business software documentation, including user guides and other customer-facing content.

Confirmed expertise with grammar rules and style conventions for published materials.

Other Qualifications :

Experience editing and developing a diversity of technical content types across multiple product areas.

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) experience is greatly preferred.

Familiarity with semantic XML authoring tools and DITA or other topic-based methodology greatly preferred.

Ability to work both independently and cohesively on projects and establish positive working relationships.

Noteworthy skills in organization, communication, and time-management.

Able to quickly pick up knowledge of the product, style guide, tools, and processes.

Proactive in communications and building positive, collaborative partnerships.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to mentor and provide guidance to writers of varying skill levels.
