    JR46843 SR A/T SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER (Controller/Active)

    As an Engineer of Assembly & Test Supplier Quality Engineering team, you will enable best-in-class supplier quality performance by establishing and maintaining close healthy relationships with critical suppliers' management teams and internal Micron customers to meet the business needs of Micron.

    You will be responsible for ensuring consistent management, deployment of quality requirements, supplier quality governance processes for the supplier base, and drive critical suppliers' continuous improvement programs.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    Supplier Quality Management:

  • Enable supplier quality excellence by ensuring that:
  • Suppliers deliver the highest possible quality material to Micron
  • Suppliers comply to QMS (Quality Management System) requirements, Standards, STC (Ship To Control) and other quality safeguard programs that Micron fan-out
  • Suppliers have continuous improvement programs toward process stability, robustness, and margin enhancement.
  • Shift left quality mentality with comprehensive in-line process control and monitoring approach to eliminate any escape defects going to Micron assembly & test manufacturing sites.
  • Identify supplier risk level, and then further mitigate risk to ensure low to zero risk to Micron.
  • Enable supplier quality as material technical expert to consult others if needed.
  • Enable linkage between supplier and Micron internal team (IQC, Engineering and operation) to ensure transparent communication.
  • Partner with procurement and engineering to enable supplier capability and capacity to support Micron.
  • Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external customers

    • Desired experience:

  • Technically experienced in Fab wafer yield enhancement, or firmware and/or on Fab process and quality control knowledge on 28nm, 16nm and down to 6nm CMOS wafer process technology, wafer probe testing and wafer level reliability
  • Experience in controller CMOS wafer technology as well as packaged controller technology is preferred.
  • ASIC-Application Specific Integrated Circuit background is a plus
  • Experience in product engineering – device engineering is also preferred.
  • Experience working with external parties is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Identifying root causes for failures using data, electrical and physical analysis techniques. Also using these techniques to modify existing strategies to improve quality.
  • The ability to multitask responsibilities while staying aware of key priority items

    • Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Masters/ in Engineering with more than 5 years' experience.
  • Strong engineering background, familiar with tools like APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, 8D, SBL, SYL.
  • A certain depth of understanding on ISO 9001 requirement and IATF 16949 is helpful.
  • Have strong work ethics, and willing to work under pressure, self-managed and independent.
  • Capable of Domestic/International travel frequently or adhoc basis for supplier audit, visit and other business needs. (About 20%~30%)
  • Capable to work off-hours (due to time zone difference) with flexible working hours and arrangement.
