    Job Description: Shift In-charge : Krishnapatnam

    Position Overview:

    The Shift In-charge for the Edible Oil Plant is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the plant during their designated shift. They play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the production process, meeting quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Shift In-charge will lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians to achieve production targets and adhere to company policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Supervise Plant Operations: Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the edible oil plant during the assigned shift. Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
    2. Production Target Achievement: Ensure that production targets are met or exceeded by effectively managing resources, optimizing production processes, and maintaining equipment reliability.
    3. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality edible oil products that meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
    4. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and promptly address any equipment breakdowns or malfunctions.
    5. Safety Compliance: Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    6. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and train the production team, including operators and technicians. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.
    7. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency enhancements. Implement relevant changes to optimize production output.
    8. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, shift logs, safety incidents, and equipment performance. Generate shift reports for management review.
    9. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to food safety, environmental requirements, and labor laws.
    10. Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact during emergencies or incidents, following the company's emergency response protocols.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in edible oil processing or related disciplines are advantageous.
    • Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a supervisory or leadership role within an edible oil plant or similar production environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of edible oil production processes, including extraction, refining, and packaging.
    • Strong understanding of quality control procedures and industry standards in edible oil processing.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
    • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick decisions in a dynamic production environment.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the food processing industry.
    • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
