Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reports Developer with strong expertise in Power BI and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (CRM/365/ERP).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining insightful reports and dashboards that support business decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and system administrators to transform data into meaningful, actionable insights.

This role requires strong technical reporting skills, data modeling experience, and a solid understanding of MS Dynamics data structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that transform data into actionable insights.
• Connect to and integrate data from Dynamics 365 CRM as well as other systems including Azure data platforms, SQL databases, and external sources.
• Extract, transform, and model data using Power Query (M language) and build efficient data models in Power BI.
• Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, hierarchies, and KPIs.
• Build compelling executive-level dashboards, operational reports, and performance scorecards.
• Publish and manage Power BI assets in Power BI Service, including dataset refresh schedules, security, and workspace governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective analytics solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, data integrity, and alignment with business logic.
• Optimize report performance, usability, and data refresh efficiency.
• Support ad-hoc analytics and reporting requests with clear, reliable output.
• Document data sources, modeling logic, report definitions, and assumptions.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting automation, standardization, and overall data reporting efficiency.
• Adhere to data governance, security, and reporting best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM data — connecting, modeling, and reporting on Dynamics entities and transactional data.
• Strong expertise in Power Query (M language) for data transformation.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX for calculations, KPIs, and analytical logic.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources — including cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), SQL databases, and third-party systems — into Power BI.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and reporting principles.
• Experience publishing and managing content in Power BI Service, including dataset refreshes and security.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) and/or relevant Dynamics 365 certifications.
• Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, or Power BI Dataflows.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT integration patterns.
• Experience working in enterprise reporting environments and handling large datasets.
• Understanding of business processes within CRM systems and how they relate to analytics needs.
