Vice President (Projects)

Good to have:

20+ years in the construction industry, preferably with experience in water supply, wastewater, EPC projects, and civil construction.

Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:

1. Project Management:

Oversee and manage all ongoing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.

2. Coordination:

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

3. Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement strategic plans for project execution, resource allocation, risk management, and cost optimization. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in project delivery processes. Identification of locations for potential projects.

4. Site Visits and Audits:

Plan and conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, quality of workmanship, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure thorough audits of project sites and processes.

5. Procurement Management:

Oversee procurement processes for project materials, equipment, and services. Ensure timely acquisition of required resources while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

6. Team Leadership:

Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

7. Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project execution and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Monitor project performance indicators and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

8. Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.

o Proven track record of successful project management in the construction industry, with a focus on water supply, EPC projects, or civil construction.

o Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.

o Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

o Sound understanding of project management principles, techniques, and tools.

o Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

o Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

o Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credentials preferred.
