    As a Software Engineer on our DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting Big Data applications.

    About the Role

    Your primary objective will be to ensure project goals are achieved and aligned with business objectives, working closely with your Scrum team and program team.

    • You will design, code, and test complex big data applications deployed on Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), leveraging Agile methodologies.
    • You will plan, develop, execute, and maintain automated unit and functional test cases, integrating with CICD processes.
    • Strong analytical and technical skills, with a passion for troubleshooting and problem resolution, are essential.
    • You will support product owners in defining future stories and tech leads in defining technical requirements for new initiatives.
    • You will build reusable platform code and components for use by multiple project teams.
    • Promote best practices through peer code reviews and extreme ownership for continuous incremental delivery.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align development objectives with broader business goals.

    Requirements

    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • A bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, with 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
    • Strong cloud implementation expertise in cloud architecture, including knowledge of storage, network, and AWS (Compute services).
    • Familiarity with multi-zone, region-based designs.
    • The ability to provide solutions utilizing best practices for resilience, scalability, cloud optimization, and security.

    Technical Skills

    This role requires:

    • Extensive programming experience, with a desire to write and review code 70% of the time.
    • Experience with Java, Python, SQL programming, and Spark, as well as job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
    • Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS, commands, shell scripting, JSON, and YAML.
    • Agile scrum experience in application development, as well as familiarity with cloud technologies like EC2, EKS, S3 storage, Lambda, and Relational Database Service.

    Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
