    Role:VehicleIntegrationEngineer-MCU (MotorControlUnit)

    The Vehicle Integration Engineer - MCU is responsible for the vehicle-level integration, calibration, and validation of Motor Control Units (MCUs) in electric and hybrid vehicles. This role ensures seamless interaction between the MCU, motor, power electronics, battery system, and vehicle control systems, delivering high performance, reliability, and safety.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Leadthevehicle-levelintegrationofMCUswithelectricmotors,inverters,batterysystems, andvehiclecontrolunits.
    • Definevehicle-levelrequirements,interfaces, andcommunicationprotocols(CAN, Ethernetetc.)forMCUintegration.
    • Conductsystem-level testing,calibrationandvalidationofmotorcontrolperformance,torquemanagement andefficiency.
    • Support on-vehicletesting andcommissioning,includingtorqueverification, motor response andthermalbehaviorevaluation.
    • Coordinatewithhardware, software andalgorithmteamstoensureMCUfunctionalityalignswithvehicleperformancerequirements.
    • Performfaultdiagnostics,troubleshootingandroot-causeanalysisforMCU and motor-relatedissues.
    • ContributetoFunctionalSafety(ISO and SOTIFcomplianceatthevehiclelevel,includingASILverificationandsafetycase development.
    • Implementand monitorvehicle-levelcalibrationstrategiesformotorcontrolloops,torquerampingandregenerativebraking.
    • Support prototype andpre-productionvehicleintegration,wiringharnessvalidationand ECUconfiguration.
    • Developandmaintaintestplans,verificationreportsandintegrationdocumentation.
    • CollaboratewithOEMs, Tier-1suppliers, andcross-functionalteamsto meet programmilestonesandqualityobjectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor'sorMaster'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,Mechatronics,AutomotiveEngineeringorrelateddiscipline.
    • 4-8yearsofexperienceinvehicleintegrationofmotorcontrolsystemsorpowerelectronics.
    • Strongunderstandingofelectricmotors(BLDC, PMSM,induction) and motorcontrolstrategies.
    • Hands-onexperiencewithvehiclecommunicationnetworks(CAN, Ethernetetc.).
    • KnowledgeofFunctionalSafety(ISO and ASILcomplianceforpowertrainsystems.
    • Experiencewithvehicletesting,calibration, andvalidationofMCUs.
    • Familiaritywithdiagnostics,faultanalysis, and HIL/SIL testing.
    • Understandingofvehicleelectricalarchitecture,wiringharnesses, and ECUintegration.
    • Proficiencyin MATLAB/SimulinkoxperiencewithtractionmotorintegrationinEVsorhybridvehicles.
    • Familiaritywithbatterymanagementsystemsandregenerativebrakingcoordination.
    • Exposureto on-roadtesting and chassisdynamometervalidationofmotorcontrolsystems.
    • Experiencewithmodel-basedcalibrationandtuningformotorcontrolloops.
    • KnowledgeofOTAupdatesand ECU softwarelifecyclemanagement.requivalenttoolsformotorcontrolvalidation.
    • Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.
