    Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – MainframesIn this role you have to co-ordinate and network with multiple partners to optimally deliver critical applications/solutions.

    You should be able to work in all phases of software development process (SDLC) with primary focus on development, maintenance, and support of various Mainframe applications related to the Capital Markets platform.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to product design and establishment of requirement.
    • Designs and communicate requirements related to project planning, architecture, design, implementation, sizing, tuning and scalability.
    • Lead engineering activities to make sure that consistent high quality products are developed.
    • Proactively diagnose problems and envisage long-term of the product focusing on reusable, extensible components.
    • Ensure SDLC delivery process.
    • Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of products.
    • Deliver projects consistently, on time and on budget.
    • Work closely with product manager and scrum master to balance product architecture and delivery timelines.
    • Design, implement and launch highly-visible features using Test Driven Development practices and also support the operations of the project in production.
    • Learn the application capabilities and ensure the technical feasibility for new requirements.
    • Conduct design and code review with a major focus on the best practices, performance, scalability, security, and future expansion.
    • Owns and maintains context Diagrams and other appropriate documentation for the products.
    • Ensure non-functional requirements are considered and addressed when designing solutions.
    • Mentor and coach junior engineers and seek the opportunity to bring in continuous improvements to implement.
    Qualifications we seek in youMinimum Qualifications

    • BE/B Tech/MCAPreferred qualifications
    • Hands-on technical experience delivering Mainframe solutions using technologies including COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, STORED PROCEDURES.
    • Excellent programming and debugging skills.
    • Good working knowledge of Relational Databases.
    • Nice to have understanding of CICS Web Services and DB2 Stored Procedures.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within Technology, Business and Operations.
    • Capability to approach problems as challenges and deal with them constructively while promoting this approach to other team members.
