    Position Summary

    Scion Social is seeking a Motion Graphic specialist with a firm grasp on animation techniques, fundamentals, and software. The animator will read through projects and speak with clients to understand project needs, create storyboards and animations, and assist in the editing process. You should be collaborative, knowledgeable, and reliable. should be adaptable, creative, and receptive to direction. You should have strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.

    Primary Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and animate compelling 2D and/or 3D animations for various digital marketing channels, including videos, social media content, website elements, and advertisements.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand project objectives, brand guidelines, and client expectations.
  • Utilize industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, Adobe Suite, etc.) to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Stay up to date with the latest animation techniques, tools, and trends, and proactively recommend innovative approaches to enhance animation quality and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the design team to integrate animations seamlessly with other visual elements, such as graphics, illustrations, and photography.
  • Collaborate with the video production team to ensure animations are synchronized with audio, timing, and overall video production quality.
  • Edit and optimize animations for various digital platforms and formats while maintaining visual integrity and optimal performance.
  • Incorporate client feedback and iterate on animations to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Maintain organized files and assets, adhere to version control, and ensure efficient project workflow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including copywriters, marketers, and strategists, to ensure animations align with campaign objectives and messaging.

    • Qualifications

    Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in computer animation, fine arts, graphic design, or related field.
  • More education, experience, or proficiency with specific animation software platforms may be preferred.
  • Having an updated portfolio is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and computer skills.
  • Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback and direction.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to develop animations and solve problems.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Motion Graphic, preferably in a global digital marketing agency or a similar environment.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard animation software, such as Adobe After Effects, Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality animations across different styles and formats.
  • Solid understanding of animation principles, timing, and storytelling techniques.
  • Knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to various brand guidelines and visual styles while maintaining consistency and creativity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest industry trends and continuously learning and improving animation skills.

    • Position is based in our Scion offices in Bangalore. Must be local in market for consideration.
