    Role Responsibilities

    Head – Financial Reporting and Controls is a critical role that is responsible for ensuring quarterly financial reporting submission to Group for consolidation, managing operational risk within the finance function for compliance with enterprise-wide operational risk framework, performing peer analysis and driving productivity enhancements (including implementation of ASPIRE delivery) to enable in meeting the RoTE target the group

    Strategy

  • The successful candidate needs to have a strong accounting/reporting background in understanding the nuances around accounting/ reporting and performance management on International Financial Reporting standard (IFRS). This will enable the candidate in a strong understanding of Segment performance in India, key dynamics, drivers, and trends impacting the business, as well as the opportunity to influence strategic decision making
  • This role provides exposure to a vast internal network of both business and functional stakeholders.It suits an individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and change management skills with experience of driving change within large multinational banks / companies and can deliver under pressure
  • This role also involves extensive engagement with the Group Financial reporting, Group Technical accounting and Business finance teams and country teams in cluster to ensure that accounting policy and principles are implemented in a consistent manner across the cluster market

  • Engage with the business that the revenue recognition/ accounting/reporting for the same happens in compliance with IFRS norms for Group reporting and local regulatory norms for local reporting
  • Ensure that business across the bank adheres to all the reporting / regulatory thresholds from Group/ Local perspective

  • Engaging with the global process owners/ process managers to ensure that the process /team cater to the accurate and timely reporting for Group consolidation

  • Provide leadership to cluster countries for ensuring smooth delivery of benefits of Group finance transformation for Nepal/Sri Lanka
  • Undertake detailed peer review and external benchmarking analysis, identifying areas of best practice and key focus areas

  • Responsible to oversee and manage staff directly and indirectly in the offshore centre

  • Risk Management

  • Drive the emphasis for risk management across the India finance function
  • Partner with the credit risk teams to ensure the local provisioning policy is framed as per the local regulations and adhrered to
  • Governance

  • Act as business operational risk manager for Finance in India and drive operational risk to optimal levels
  • Act as a Single point of contact for all risk issues from a Group perspective for South Asia cluster

    TRAINING, LICENSES, MEMBERSHIPS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent qualification) with 10+ years of experience in the Finance team of Bank
