    About the Role:

    This is a Senior Management role. We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Business Development professional to take the reins in Business Development division with exceptional intelligence, confidence, and polished presentation skills. You will possess Thorough knowledge & practical experience in Power sales and Power trading dynamics, how power is sold in the Indian Energy Exchange Market, with demonstrating innovative thinking and leadership qualities. Practical ‍Familiarity with emerging trends in the energy and renewable sectors is crucial for success in this position. This senior role involves crafting strategies and executing strategic plans for business growth, cultivating robust client relationships, and identifying emerging opportunities in the Power trading market.

    The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in driving revenue, adept negotiation skills for forging key partnerships, and contributing to overall business expansion at the national level. You must have hands-on experience of managing a team of sales professionals spread across national geographies in the areas of Power Trading / Power Market / Power Sales Experience. The candidate is expected to have deep knowledge of power markets and the power sector regulatory environment and is expected to have existing relationships in the power industry and networks with market participants. This role demands extensive travel and interaction with senior professionals from the Energy Market, necessitating a candidate who is articulate and influential.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Strengthening existing customer relationships and developing new relationships across national geography.

    2. Analyze state-wise demand and supply situation along with their power position in the coming times.

    3. Managing, motivating, and coaching a team of business development professionals to achieve business targets.

    4. Organizing and managing workshops, seminars, market advisory committee meetings and other such initiatives and events to ensure traction with market participants and for meaningful discussions with stakeholders.

    5. Preparation of contracts/offers and submission to prospective clients.

    6. Preparation of letters/presentations/data based on business needs.

    7. Providing insights towards the development of new market products

    8. Extensively travel to improve engagement levels and outreach with stakeholders: Regulatory Commissions, Traders, Market Intermediaries, Channel Partners Clients, Members, and industry associations.

    9. Develop, maintain, and improve relations with Regulators, State Officials, Government Authorities, Load dispatch centre's and Industrial Associations.

    Desired Candidate Profile:

    1. Educational Qualification: Must have completed a BE / B. Tech. and Preferable MBA

    2. Work Experience: Relevant working experience of years in Power Trading/Power Market/Power Sales required for a Senior Management Business Development role at a reputable Power /Energy Sector company or firm. The ideal candidate should possess a thorough knowledge of power sales & trading, be an enthusiastic team player, and have strong analytical and management skills.

    3. Must have Functional competencies such as Strategic Planning & Implementation, Market Analysis, Negotiation Skills, Financial Acumen, Lead Generation, Innovation & Creativity, Regulatory Compliances

    4. Must have Behavioural competencies such as Strong Interpersonal and Leadership Skills, Result Orientation, Adaptability, Relationship Building and Networking, Communication & Influencing Skills, Decision Making Skills, Team Collaboration and Conflict Resolution Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Customer Centricity.
