One of our prestigious clients in theMaritime Industry is looking to hire aSpecialist General Arrangement Designto be based in Kingdom of SaudiArabia.

Key Accountabilities& WorkingRelationships

KeyAccountabilities:

TheSpecialist General Arrangement Designwho will be responsible for but not limitedto:

• Work activity planningdistribution monitoring and checking for the development of NavalArchitecture/ safety Design &Constructiondrawings.
• Supervise team ofDraftsmen.
• Work in multiple projects andprepare detail drawings and material takeoffs based on Basic Designdrawings / sketches provided by Designers andEngineers.
• Ensure the deliverables meet thecustomers Technical Specifications Company standards requirementsof production and other statutoryregulations.
• Act as checker on design relateddeliverables.
• Work on 3D model and/or 2Dpackage following drafting standard maintaining clarity quality andcompleteness of details.
• Performs periodicoverall model reviews to assure level ofcontent.
• Participate in 3D model review asrequired.
• Reviews for overall completenessgeneral safety issues access and egress materials handling schemebeing adhered to maintenance and operabilityetc.
• Maintain high technical quality indrafting with consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease ofconstruction.
• Review and update disciplinedesign guidelines and standards.
• Estimatedrawing quantities for designdeliverables.
• Develop and maintain drawinglists.
• Gather and review applicable codesstandards and Supplier requirements to define installationrequirements and communicate requirements to the designteam.
• Review and comment on Supplierdrawings.
• Propose design improvements andlessons learned.
• Analyze options to optimizecost and scheduling.
• Prepare asbuiltdocumentation.
• Support bids and proposals asrequired.
• Provide design inputs and prepareFire and Safety Plans General Arrangement drawings and NavalArchitecture
• Perform site survey asnecessary.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policiesand procedures as applicable.
• Ensure compliancewith all applicable information security policies&procedures.

Whowe are lookingfor

Education:

• BachelorsDegree in EngineeringDiscipline.

Experience:

• Atleast 39 years in General Arrangement in any engineering company.Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rigbuilding yard major construction yard EPC contractor and/orConsultantCompany.

ProfessionalQualifications (Certifications &Accreditations):

• PreferredAny additional certification / training on CAD tools andsystems.

Competencies(Knowledge Skills &Abilities):

• Knowledge/Experiencein AutoCAD PDMS / AVEVA or equivalent.
• Goodknowledge of International Codes and Standards Marine Regulationsand Classification Rules.
• Knowledge/Experiencein Naval Architectural/Marine Drafting involving GeneralArrangements Safety Plansetc.

• English.(Mandatory)
• Arabic / Others (desirable)
