- Understands cost targets /estimates and develops delivery plans including tough choices and recovery plan (if required) in line with program cost & budgets.
- Understands and actively supports program sourcing strategies in line with purchasing, finance and program timing needs.
- To work very closely with supplier product development teams during proposal development
- To work closely with design studio teams to review the feasibility of surfaces released and providing feedback and issue resolution.
- Overall project management
- Tracks AIMS & Concern status and supports timely close-out of issues.
- Providing analyses and resolutions on faults and/or errors
- Communicate issues with key stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Supports and enforces program specific milestone approvals.
- Supporting CAD, DPA and Physical Design Verification (DV) testing to support Engineering Sign-Off
- Support onsite launch support both domestic and international as well as VO Assembly Plants
- Support homologation / regulatory testing at test locations like ARAI, NATRIP etc.
- Able to successfully bring cross functional team together across different cultures & time zones to ensure repeated delivery of your own & shared objectives.

- Hands on Design and Release Experience in plastics trims especially in commodities like Cowl grille & extension dash panel (Plastic), Plastic spoilers, Door Appliques, Black out tapes, badges, decals, washer bottle, bumpers, either in a OEM or Tier 1 supplier
- Package and/or CAD (CATIA V5 / Unigraphics / TCE / VisMockup) experience is essential.
- Experience in Engineering Plastics material selection
- Demonstrated ability to lead the issue resolution process. A broad understanding of all major vehicle systems and a customer focused mindset is required to facilitate this process.
- High energy, self-starter, with the ability and desire to take the responsibility to deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Ability and courage to effectively communicate key issues and make informed recommendations to senior management.
- Team player with a positive, flexible can-do attitude and innovative mindset.
- Excellent in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point
- Ability to lead and work with a cross functional team across international time zones.
- Work closely with suppliers/engineering/manufacturing/purchasing/quality/craftsmanship to ensure the lowest cost and best quality solution.
- Knowledge with Automotive design processes / Systems engineering
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
- Excellent project management skills to work with the team(s) to meet targets and objectives on time.
