SAP UI5/Fiori Programmer


REPORTS TO:
Senior Global Finance Systems Manager


JOB PURPOSE:

The UI5/Fiori Programmer will perform complex programming, design, testing, and debugging work related to the implementation, enhancement, and support of the global finance SAP S4/Hana system.

In addition, this position may also support other related finance/staffing related systems.

The position will be in the shared service center currently established in Gurgaon, India, and will report to the Senior global finance system's manager.

Several of the key responsibilities are, but not limited to:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Implement and deploy SAP Fiori applications, including custom extension development and configuration for user roles, catalogs, and groups.
• Design and implement new solutions using SAP's latest UI5 / Fiori technologies
• Develop and deploy custom SAP Fiori applications using HANA Cloud Platform, Web IDE, and SAPUI
• Develop UI5 based prototypes and carry out prototype testing
• Manage support requests for events that represent the first warning on an impending capacity shortage and support requests for unplanned service degradations or outages when necessary
• Provide support including root cause analysis, proposing and implementing structural solutions, testing, and tracking the resolution for escalated problems
• Evaluate, interpret and understand Functional Specifications for custom development in FI/CO, MRS, and CPM modules; collaborate with other SAP developers, designers, and architects to ensure Technical Requirements of UI5/Fiori applications meet or exceed the functional application requirements and performance goals
• Perform UI5/Fiori development as directed by the Technical Lead and adhere to development and coding standards as well as SAP best practices; follow security coding best practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities
• Perform technical unit testing of the developed solution and peer code reviews of team member solutions and fix any defects and performance problems discovered
• Document the application to facilitate maintenance
• Inform the solution architects, Technical Lead and Project Manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project
• As part of the Change Management process, complete and maintain risk, impact and implementation work orders; for emergency application changes, build new releases in the development environment, transfer new releases from development to test environments, and perform production configuration and technical code validation as necessary
• Participate in the build, deployment, testing and remediation of release(s), execute knowledge transfer activities, import transports and provide production support as part of the Release and Deployment Management process
• Participate in all SAP implementation projects as a technical team member
• Able to work occasional early morning, evening or weekend hours for production support, upgrade or other projects as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills :

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Java
• Working knowledge of ABAP as a base skill is essential with either Fiori or UI5 development experience established
• Strong knowledge and application of arney development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of related Solution Manager functionality
• Theme design
• Version control using Github
• Developing technical designs and supporting technical documentation based on Functional Design documents provided by business analysts
• Having a proven ability to diagnose and implement technical repairs in a timeeffective manner is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with business partners and IT functional analysts in a multicultural environment.
• SAP certifications strongly preferred

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of ABAP objects (Object Oriented concepts) with hands on working knowledge
• Exposure to BADI s, Proxies, switch framework, IDOCs, BTE, User Exits and Web Dynpro is required with hands on working knowledge
• Indepth functional experience in FICO and at least one other finance/projects SAP business module a plus

Experience, Education and Licensure

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field or the equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 2+ years of SAP UI5/Fiori programming experience
• A minimum of 3+ years of SAP ABAP programming experience in SAP system implementation or maintenance (including, but not limited to reports, interfaces, enhancements, function modules, and module pool)
• 3+ years of indepth functional experience in FICO and at least one SAP business module as well as working functional knowledge in two or more other modules
• Ability to write technical specifications
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and discern when to escalate
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to respond and adapt to change
• Be proactive self starter
• Willingness to learn
• Willing to work occasional late and weekend hours, participate in early morning or late evening calls with global user is required
