    Description
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Lead the migration of on-premises systems to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations
    • Oversee the administration and management of the entire Oracle environment across various stages, including SIT, UAT, PROD, and DR
    • Provide expert-level support for Core Database Administration (DBA) and E-Business Suite (EBS) Applications DBA tasks, including installation, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
    • Manage Oracle/Windows Production environment backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement best practices for OCI services, resource provisioning, security, and governance
    • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks for OCI environments and managed services
    • Proactively monitor OCI resources, performance metrics, and system alerts to identify and address potential issues before they impact business operations
    • Stay updated with the latest Oracle Cloud technologies, features, and best practices to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of OCI environments
    • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and incident response activities to ensure business continuity and resilience in OCI environments
    • Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise in Oracle OCI services, administration, and cloud migration strategies

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration, including hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
    • Proven expertise in managing and migrating on-premises systems to OCI cloud environments, with a strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
    • Extensive experience in Core DBA and EBS Apps DBA administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and patching.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment in OCI.
    • Solid understanding of Oracle/Windows environment backup solutions, such as Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Oracle Secure Backup (OSB), and third-party backup tools.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in OCI environments.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and senior management.
    • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect) are highly desirable.
    • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is a plus
