    Software Test Engineer


    Job Description:
    We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

    You will work closely with our development team and product owner to understand requirements, create test plans, execute test cases, and identify defects.

    The ideal candidate has a strong passion for quality and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.


    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.
    • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
    • Execute testcases to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
    • Perform functional, non functional, regression, integration, and system testing as needed.
    • Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
    • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Communicate test results and quality metrics to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and priorities.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 Plus years' experience in same field.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
    • Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
    • Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and bug reports.
    • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Zephyr TestRail or using Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
    • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Redmine etc.
    • Knowledge of SQL and database testing principles.
    • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or TestNG.
    • Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
    • ISTQB or similar certification in software testing.
