- Assisting in all aspects of our manufacturing and cost accounting functions
- Identifying production variances, analyzing data to isolate the root cause of the issue, and suggesting countermeasures to the leadership team.
- Analyzing material, labor, and overhead transactions
- Providing oversight, analysis, and reporting of company inventory at multiple locations
- Proactively building tools to improve manufacturing processes and drive efficiency.
- Performing the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entry postings
- Fulfilling all audit requests relating to product costing
- Partnering with the supply chain team to review excess and obsolete reserves, and with the manufacturing team on inventory adjustments.
- Supporting the annual standard cost roll and physical inventory count process
- Assisting with calculating and reporting cycle count metrics and related reconciliations
- Tracking and reporting on fixed assets, savings, and cost-out projects
- Handling other ad hoc requests, analysis, and projects
- 5+ years in Manufacturing Finance with direct costing accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; an advanced degree or chartered certification (CMA or CPA) is a plus.
- Experience with Manufacturing ERP is required.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Standard Cost Accounting
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Natural curiosity to understand workflows and how actions throughout the warehouse impact financial and other areas.
- Proven history of taking initiative and being solution-oriented
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required.
