    We are looking for an experienced Costing Specialist to manage our company's costing activities. The Costing Specialist's responsibilities include developing cost estimation strategies, analyzing costs, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, coordinating with internal teams regarding their cost requirements, and overseeing the costing team in their daily activities.

    To be successful as a Costing Specialist, you should be able to manage and optimize costing activities and processes. An outstanding Costing Specialist should have excellent leadership abilities and be able to negotiate the best possible costs with vendors.

    We are looking for an experienced Costing Specialist to manage our company's costing activities. The Costing Specialist's responsibilities include developing cost estimation strategies, analyzing costs, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, coordinating with internal teams regarding their cost requirements, and overseeing the costing team in their daily activities.

    To be successful as a Costing Specialist, you should be able to manage and optimize costing activities and processes. An outstanding Costing Specialist should have excellent leadership abilities and be able to negotiate the best possible costs with vendors.

    Responsibilities

    • Assisting in all aspects of our manufacturing and cost accounting functions
    • Identifying production variances, analyzing data to isolate the root cause of the issue, and suggesting countermeasures to the leadership team.
    • Analyzing material, labor, and overhead transactions
    • Providing oversight, analysis, and reporting of company inventory at multiple locations
    • Proactively building tools to improve manufacturing processes and drive efficiency.
    • Performing the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entry postings
    • Fulfilling all audit requests relating to product costing
    • Partnering with the supply chain team to review excess and obsolete reserves, and with the manufacturing team on inventory adjustments.
    • Supporting the annual standard cost roll and physical inventory count process
    • Assisting with calculating and reporting cycle count metrics and related reconciliations
    • Tracking and reporting on fixed assets, savings, and cost-out projects
    • Handling other ad hoc requests, analysis, and projects

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years in Manufacturing Finance with direct costing accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; an advanced degree or chartered certification (CMA or CPA) is a plus.
    • Experience with Manufacturing ERP is required.
    • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and Standard Cost Accounting
    • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
    • Natural curiosity to understand workflows and how actions throughout the warehouse impact financial and other areas.
    • Proven history of taking initiative and being solution-oriented
    • Strong PC skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required.
    • Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with various teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple critical projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand business, management, and finance principles.
    • Good understanding of local market (India).
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop.
    • Ability to work and communicate within the organization at all levels, including leadership.
    • Ability to travel (valid passport).
    • Customer service and ability to work collaboratively.
    • High degree of independence & integrity.
    • Attention to detail.

    Languages: Fluent English language skills are necessary
