    Description

    Overview

    The OPD Doctor(MBBS) plays a crucial role in providing primary healthcareservices to patients in the Outpatient Department (OPD). They areresponsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medicalconditions providing guidance to patients and collaborating withthe medical team to ensure comprehensivecare.

    KeyResponsibilities

    • Conducting thoroughclinical examinations and patient consultations in theOPD
    • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic teststo aid in accurate diagnosis
    • Developing andimplementing personalized treatment plans forpatients
    • Prescribing medications and monitoringtheir effectiveness
    • Providing patient educationon health maintenance and diseaseprevention
    • Documenting patient medical historysymptoms and treatment outcomes
    • Coordinatingwith specialists for referral and followupcare
    • Participating in clinical audits andquality improvement initiatives
    • Adhering tomedical protocols ethical standards and safetyprocedures
    • Collaborating with nursing andsupport staff for seamless patientcare
    • Participating in continuing medicaleducation and professional development
    • Ensuringaccurate and timely medicalrecordkeeping
    • Dealing with medical emergenciesand providing immediateinterventions
    • Participating inmultidisciplinary case conferences and medicalrounds
    • Remaining updated on the latest medicalresearch and evidencebasedpractices

    RequiredQualifications

    • MBBS degree from anaccredited medical school
    • Valid medical licenseand registration with the medicalcouncil
    • Proven experience in OPD or primarycare setting
    • Strong clinical acumen anddiagnostic skills
    • Ability to work effectivelyin a fastpaced and dynamic healthcareenvironment
    • Excellent communication andinterpersonal abilities
    • Empathy and compassiontowards patients and their families
    • Proficiencyin medical documentation andrecordkeeping
    • Commitment to maintaining patientconfidentiality and privacy
    • Capability to workcollaboratively in a multidisciplinary medicalteam
    • Uptodate knowledge of medical advancementsand best practices
    • Flexibility to work shiftsincluding evenings and weekends as per the OPDschedule
    • Adherence to professional ethics andstandards of medical practice
    • CPR and basiclife support certification is aplus
