    FILING INFORMATION Name Assistant Manager – Data & Reporting Department Shared Services – MDM Location Navi Mumbai Position reports to Manager – MDM and Reporting ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Key responsibilities
  • Interpret the provided guidelines and definitions related to shipments and apply them to generate accurate and comprehensive reports on a regular basis.
  • Utilize relevant software and tools to extract necessary data and information for reporting purposes.
  • Analyze shipment-related data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that contribute to operational improvements and productivity enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather additional information or context.
  • Compile and organize data for OMR reporting, ensuring that the reporting period aligns with the calendar month and "date of service" as specified in the guidelines.
  • Calculate and present relevant metrics, such as shipment counts, volumes (TEU, CBM, kilograms), and other performance indicators.
  • Identify and flag special shipment types and exceptions based on the provided guidelines, and ensure these are accurately reflected in the reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address any discrepancies or unique situations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the reported data by verifying against source documents and cross-referencing with the terms and definitions outlined
  • Maintain compliance with reporting deadlines and standards as specified.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team, including relevant stakeholders such as DP World offices, carriers, and customers, to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to address questions, provide clarifications, and share insights from the generated reports.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, streamline data collection, and improve the overall quality of reporting.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing reporting tools and methodologies.
  • QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of the shipping and logistics industry, including the terms and definitions provided in the guidelines.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, or a similar analytical role.
