    Job DescriptionAssist the sales force in the analysis and design of audiovisual solutions.

    In addition to supporting the sales force, the sales engineer must be able to analyze and report on complex solutions and hardware located at customer sites and new system solutions.

    Responsible for providing pre-sales support to sales and technical staff for systems design/build proposals and RFP reviews.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide technical expertise/credibility to the account team on audio-visual designs.


    Assist sales account managers with overall account planning as it relates to technical aspects of hardware, software, and services opportunity development.

    Assist sales account managers with coordinating complex presales engagements.

    Assist account teams with collecting customer business and technical requirements and determining the company's recommended solution(s)

    Develop solution architecture and detailed line-item configurations/bills of materials (BOMs) where appropriate or as per consulting engagement.

    Develop a solution proposal and/or presentation of the recommended solution.

    Assist with technical scoping/review for Statement of Work (SOW) for assigned accounts.

    Function as liaison to end-user customer technical staff regarding the solution and implementation specifics


    Function as a liaison between the sales team and professional services organization to vet solution recommendations and to complete technical portions of the SOW, as appropriate.


    Assist sales management with mentoring junior sales account managers as it relates to overall opportunity management and technical solution set.

    Lead knowledge transfer forums around solution updates, implementation 'lessons learned,' etc. as relevant.


    As appropriate, assist the company sales team in dealing with customer satisfaction issues surrounding technical aspects of a recommended solution, or its implementation and deployment.

    As needed, assist in developing a 'get well' plan.

    Complete training per the development plan and maintain certifications in accordance with a focus area.

    Complete administrative tasks (expenses, time reporting) in a timely fashion

    Requirements

    AVIXA CTS-D certification and/or Crestron DMC-D are ideal, and AutoCAD and Vectorworks are nice to have.

    A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the AV Design field is required.

    MUST be technical and have closing skills.

    Proficiency with Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Polycom, and Cisco Video Teleconferencing systems

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and well-organized.

    Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills.

    Able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation and drawing packages

    RequirementsRequirements:
    University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading.

    Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager.

    CTS-I Certification Preferred
