    Description

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The strategic Sourcing Professional may either independently or by supporting the strategic sourcing Lead carry out the following:

    Category Planning & Strategy:

    • Support business leadership teams by understanding their business plans within their area of your responsibility by developing sourcing strategies that add value to Target

    • Leverage established best practices to effectively engage clients, identify stakeholder needs, and provide timely updates

    • Seek out vendor research and market intelligence for assigned projects

    RFX Events and Supplier Negotiations:

    • Develop the RFP (products or services where specs are of minimum complexity) process for assigned projects, identifying client requirements and coordinating the process with stakeholders and vendors'

    Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management

    Perform Competitive negotiations with suppliers, experience in TCO analysis, cost driver identification, e-auctions etc.

    • Consider and negotiate required service levels based on client requirements for effective performance and within service contracts

    • Evaluate and analyze supplier proposals

    • Review and negotiate contracts or renewals.

    Contract Management

    • Develop and maintain a relationship with a portfolio of Vendors

    • Proactively leverage identified risk management practices that protect Target from unanticipated risk or financial exposure through due diligence, contracts, and vendor management

    • Identify contract savings opportunities &quantify savings.

    • Follow the best practices with respect to all Anti-bribery laws, conflict of interest policy and information protection regulations

    Requirement

  • 4-5 years of total work experience, preferably in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly identify and communicate stakeholder needs, technical aspects of primary requirements, and the procurement process
  • Positive attitude and the ability to effectively deal with team and Business Partners
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team Player
