Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob Description-The SSRS Developer (Reporting Services Developer) positionrequires the ability to read and write complex queries, ability to create database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, user-defined functions) and modify existing reporting content.
To perform this job successfully, an individual would need to be able to understand complex business processes, gather requirements, work efficiently and verify their results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
Compile user requirements and specifications for reportsDesign, create and test SQL reports using SSRSValidate report functionality with internal staff/end usersRespond to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reportsMicrosoft SQL Server 2/4/6 Database PlatformMicrosoft Reporting Services 2/4/6 Development EnvironmentsWorking with customers through a customer advocate to develop new report requirements, changes to existing reports, and identify reporting errorsCollaborate with internal QA on customer acceptance testingOther duties may be assigned as needed by management
