Clustrex Data Private Limited is looking for a seasoned Database Engineer with expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, database security, and cloud database solutions such as AWS RDS PostgreSQL. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of our database systems, optimizing their performance, and leveraging cloud technologies to meet our evolving data storage and processing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Tuning & Query Optimization: Conduct in-depth performance analysis, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance database speed and efficiency. Optimize SQL queries for maximum performance and efficiency.
Database Security: Implement and maintain robust database security measures, including access controls, encryption, data masking, and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Cloud Database Management: Manage and optimize cloud-based database instances, particularly AWS RDS PostgreSQL. Leverage cloud services for enhanced scalability, availability, and performance.
Index Management & Capacity Planning: Design effective indexing strategies and perform capacity planning to ensure database scalability and performance.
Database Design & Best Practices: Contribute to the design of database architectures that are optimized for performance and security from the outset. Establish and enforce database development and management best practices.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for complex database issues, with a focus on performance, security, and cloud-based solutions.
Technology Evaluation & Adoption: Stay updated on emerging database technologies and security practices, assessing their potential impact and advocating for the adoption of tools and practices that can benefit the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in database engineering with a focus on performance tuning, security, and cloud database technologies.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL and other major database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Solid understanding of database security protocols, best practices, and compliance requirements.
Experience with cloud database management, particularly in AWS environments.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex database performance and security issues.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty
Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
Familiarity with Python, DBT, Airflow, Shell scripting, Linux.
