    Reliance Project Management Group (RPMG) is the in-house project management arm of Reliance Industries' Oil-to-Chemicals business. The unit is responsible for managing Reliance's capital projects while also executing a large number of de-bottlenecking and small projects to enhance the value of existing assets.     Job Purpose:

    To manage design in task force / team of subordinates & to accomplish assigned task of detailed engineering (mid projects, multiple small projects) within time frame and budget.

    Job Accountabilities

    • Conversant with regulations and industry codes and standards affecting complex engineering work within discipline.
    • Understand contractual obligations and ensuring compliance with the same through appropriate delegation for small projects.
    • Understand issues and costs related to selection of typical design features within discipline and to be adept at inter-departmental co-ordination.
    • Perform, review, and supervise engineering work within discipline w.r.t. adherence to quality schedule, safety and limit within budget.
    • Constantly review and upgrade the skill & knowledge of sub-ordinate.

    Skills Required

    • To develop standard deliverables:
    1. Fire Water P&ID & Layout
    2. Fire Water Demand Schedule and Hydraulic Calculation
    3. Fire & Gas - Layout & Cause and Effect
    4. Fire-Proofing & Area Classification Schedule
    5. Foam and Spray System Design
    • Work process of other departments and their interdependence on Loss Prevention discipline.
    • Conversant with Loss Prevention statutory and other codes / standards / guides / practices.
    • Knowledge of design tools/software (Pipenet).
    • Knowledge of safety studies like HAZOP, Safety Integrity Level and Quantitative Risk Analysis.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Engineering Degree from accredited college or university.
    • 8 years minimum of which 6 years in Loss Prevention domain.
    • Experience in 2-3 medium sized projects is desirable.
