• Our client, a global consulting firm, is seeking a civil engineering construction expert to support the management of the civil design for a factory (discrete manufacturing) project for a client in the manufacturing sector in India.
• The expert will work closely with the case team, who will provide overall project management expertise, while the expert will bring their technical expertise in civil engineering with extensive experience in factory design and engaging with EPC/general contractors in India. This is part of a larger initiative to support the client in establishing their new manufacturing facility, and the success of the project will be assessed based on the timely and costeffective delivery of the civil design in line with the client's requirements.

• Providing technical expertise and oversight for the civil design of the factory
• Collaborating with the EPC/general contractors to ensure the design is constructible and aligned with industry best practices
• Reporting to the project manager and providing regular updates on progress and any issues
• Participating in crossfunctional meetings with other workstreams, such as mechanical, electrical, and process engineering, to ensure the civil design is integrated with the overall facility design
• Engaging with the client's stakeholders, such as the facilities team, to incorporate their requirements into the civil design

• 20+ years of experience in the design and construction of factories, preferably with a leading EPC/construction company
• Strong track record of managing factory construction projects in India, including working closely with EPC/general contractors
• Proven expertise in civil engineering design, with a deep understanding of building codes, structural design, and construction best practices
• Familiarity with the manufacturing sector and experience working on discrete manufacturing facilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams

• The project is expected to start in Q3 2024, with an initial duration of 36 months. The expert will be required to work onsite in Maharashtra, India for approximately 23 days per week during the project duration. All stay and travel related arrangements will be managed by the client.
