    Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator

    Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office)

    Experience: 5–8 Years

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in managing, migrating, securing, and optimizing Oracle database environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle installation and configuration, RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, database migration strategies, backup & recovery, AWS RDS, Azure cloud, Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting, and performance tuning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database (12c/19c or higher).
    • Design, plan, and execute database migrations (on-prem to cloud, cross-version, cross-platform).
    • Lead end-to-end database migration projects using RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, Transportable Tablespaces, and cloud-native tools.
    • Manage and maintain Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) environments.
    • Configure and support Oracle Data Guard (Physical/Logical Standby) for high availability and disaster recovery.
    • Administer Oracle databases on Exadata platforms.
    • Deploy and manage Oracle databases on AWS RDS and Azure cloud environments.
    • Implement and manage comprehensive backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and cloud backup solutions.
    • Perform backup validation, restore testing, and disaster recovery drills.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database restore failures and recovery scenarios.
    • Perform database performance tuning at instance, SQL, and system levels (AWR, ADDM, ASH analysis).
    • Automate routine DBA tasks using advanced shell scripting.
    • Monitor database performance, storage, availability, and capacity planning.
    • Implement security best practices including encryption, user access control, and compliance.
    • Support production, QA, and development environments with 24x7 reliability focus.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 5–8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
    • Strong expertise in:

    Oracle Database installation and configuration.

    Oracle RAC administration.

    Oracle Data Guard setup and troubleshooting.

    Oracle Exadata architecture.

    • Strong experience in database migrations:

    On-premises to AWS/Azure cloud.

    Cross-version and cross-platform migrations.

    Minimal downtime migration strategies.

    • Advanced experience in backup and recovery:

    RMAN backup/restore and recovery scenarios.

    Point-in-time recovery (PITR).

    Disaster recovery planning and execution.

    Backup optimization and validation.

    • Experience managing Oracle on AWS RDS.
    • Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and database services.
    • Strong Unix/Linux administration knowledge.
    • Advanced shell scripting (Bash/Korn shell).
    • Strong database performance tuning skills.
    • Experience with ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
    • Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, storage, and monitoring services.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Oracle Goldengate replication.
    • Knowledge of Terraform/CloudFormation or infrastructure automation.
    • Experience with Ansible or other automation tools.
    • Oracle OCP/OCE certification.
    • AWS or Azure certifications preferred.
