    Job Description

    You will play a key role in building features based on product requirements. You're expected to design and code in multiple tech components related to your functional area, adhering to best practices, design principles, and patterns to make the code-base maintainable and extensible. Additionally, you must develop a deep understanding of non-functional requirements such as reliability and availability, scale, horizontal scalability, etc., over time and make informed tech stack decisions.

    We are seeking well-rounded engineers who are quality conscious, product thinkers, business cognizant, and smart – not merely coders. Engineers have the opportunity to significantly amplify their impact with the scale that our company operates.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design components by translating product requirements, breaking down projects into tasks, and providing accurate estimates.
    • Independently come up with innovative solutions, designing at a low level. Write modular, extensible, readable, and performant code.
    • Write clean, functional code on the front- and back-end.
    • Test and fix bugs or other coding issues.
    • Choose the right data structures, tools, and tech stacks, and be able to do high-level designing with guidance.
    • Build, develop, mentor, and coach junior team members.
    • Collaborate with teams by contributing to the shared vision and working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong knowledge of data structures & algorithms with space & time complexities.
    • Good knowledge of the Java programming language with design patterns.
    • Experience with multi-threading and concurrency programming.
    • Ability to build abstractions and contracts with separation of concerns for a larger scope.
    • Experience of building robust and scalable web-applications with microservices /distributed architecture.
    • Ability to work with complex business flows and dealing with huge amounts of data.
    • Prior work experience in an agile environment or continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI or CD).
    • Experience in building applications using Java spring boot framework.
    • Experience with Test Driven Development.
    • Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx).
    • Experience working with Cloud Platforms like GCP, AWS, Redis, Kafka is good to have.
    • Experience working with transactional databases (Oracle/MySQL) and NoSQL databases.
    • B.Tech or M.Tech or equivalent with at least 3.5+ years of experience.
