Description

Must Haves:

• 3+ years experience working as a Java Developer within Java 8 – 17
• Experience with JDK8 and JDK11
• Proven knowledge on OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts.
• Experience with Frameworks such as Struts & Spring
• ORM Frameworks - Hibernate, JPA
• Build Strategies such as Ant, Maven
• Worked on at least one application server (Jboss 4+& 7+, Tomcat 8+, Weblogic etc.)
• Moving to Tomcat 9 and/or Tomcat 10
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and/or Material
• Experience in ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Remedy
• Experience in Requirement management tools like Atlassian Jira or similar tools
• Experience with Source code control systems like ClearCase, Bitbucket / GitHub Web hooks or similar
• Container Deployments with Docker, Kubernetes or Redhat OpenShift
• Hands on experience in unit test coverage using Junit or similar

Soft Skills:

• Good communication skills (verbal/written)
• Good understanding and high-performance applications leveraging design patterns, best architecture/coding practices

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking 3 Mid level Java Developers to support a multi-national power management client of ours. This team will be re-writing 48 applications that are running on an old operating system. The curent environment is running on Redhat Linux 5 and they will be responsible for moving these applications to Kubernetes on a OS platform. This is mainly backend repsonbilitiels but there may be some small tweaking interms of front end code once it's moved over to the new server. These resources will be joining a team of 4 other developers and a lead.

Compensation:

$10/hr to $20/hr USD
