Job Description :

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the data stewardship process, including data cataloguing, metadata enrichment, data quality management, and master data management.

You will take ownership of a specific data domain, ensuring compliance with data governance policies and procedures.

Additionally, you will be involved in sourcing and enriching metadata, defining business glossaries, and implementing data quality rules.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage data stewardship activities, including data cataloguing, metadata enrichment, and data quality management.

Take ownership of a specific data domain and ensure compliance with data governance policies.. Source and enrich metadata from various data sources.

Define and implement data quality rules and standards.

Track progress of data stewardship activities and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.

Build and maintain data quality scorecards for the domain.

Drive resolution of data quality issues.

Participate in data governance council meetings and provide updates on progress and challenges..

Skills and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

8+ years of experience as a data steward.

Experience in the automotive/manufacturing industry.

Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Informatica, Ataccama, or Erwin.

Experience training data stewards and other data governance roles.

Strong understanding of SQL.

Ability to work in an agile, dynamic environment

Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred :

Experience with data governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Atlan, or Ataccama.
