We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering initiatives and drive technological innovation within our department. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in full-stack development, specifically in Java and JavaScript, and a wealth of experience in managing sophisticated software integrations and mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will excel in problem-solving, have exceptional communication skills, and possess the ability to guide and motivate teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, utilizing Java and JavaScript for both front-end and back-end services.
• Manage complex software integrations and provide expert problem-solving solutions in a full-stack environment.
• Ensure the continuous operation and reliability of mission-critical, 24/7 service systems.
• Engage with users, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define project scopes, provide accurate estimates, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Employ exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve work-related challenges effectively.
• Organize and prioritize tasks efficiently, demonstrating superior time management capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire engineering teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
• Facilitate communication across teams to identify and remove blockers, enhancing cooperative efforts and productivity.
• Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical issues within the sub-department, guiding teams toward resolution.
• Drive significant, measurable impacts on projects and initiatives within the sub-department.
• Act as a consultant and spokesperson in interactions with customers and external stakeholders, representing the department's interests and achievements.
• Promote the visibility and understanding of the sub-department's contributions and their business impact within the organization.
• Maintain and expand expertise across all specialties within the department, ensuring a broad and deep knowledge base.
• Provide technical guidance and expert advice to engineers, enhancing their professional development and project outcomes.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, optimizing resource allocation and financial performance.
• Lead negotiations with vendors and manage contracts to support project and departmental needs.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team and across projects.
• Foster an agile development environment, adapting practices and processes to meet evolving business and project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 10 years in software development with substantial expertise in full-stack development using Java and JavaScript. Proven track record managing mission-critical systems and leading technical teams.
• Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and relevant technologies.
• Demonstrated ability in building, scaling, and maintaining robust systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage both team and client interactions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
