Vestas have been an established name in applying high-performance computing, CFD and mesoscale modelling in the wind industry for almost a decade. Global Siting uses this best-in-class knowledge to offer our customers the most optimized site-specific solutions. Siting Functional is a team which links innovation into the siting assessment (Wind Resource and Site suitability assessment) process. You will be a part of a highly skilled team which continuously ensure Vestas is best in class on siting assessment, working across departments to ensure high quality is implemented in the tools used in the worldwide Siting community in Vestas. The siting assessment in Vestas will covering both onshore and offshore sites and all the way from early site development/identification to after sales opportunities.

    Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Vendor to establish measurement data set up and database
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify data quality issues and equipment failures.
  • Follow up with Vendor and Internal stakeholder to rectify equipment failure
  • Identify opportunities in wind data monitoring to improve process and quality
  • Review the Engineer's deliverables and collaborate with them to improve their competency
  • Daily monitoring of wind data to ensure high availability and quality
  • Weekly and Monthly reporting of measurement data using the tools like Windographer
  • Timely identification of sensor failures, anomalies in data and report to stakeholder
  • Follow up with Vendor and Internal stakeholder to rectify equipment failure
  • Review of installation documents and configuration files received from data monitoring set up
  • Handling technical queries from the internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhere to process and Vestas values
  • Qualifications

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Energy / Mechanical Engineering, Either have a background in Meteorology, Atmospheric science, Environmental engineering will be an additional advantage
  • 8- years of Experience.Proven experience (Minimum 6 years) in wind data monitoring, data analysis, and interpretation, specifically in the renewable energy sector
  • Proficiency in using meteorological instrumentation and data acquisition systems (like Data Loggers, LiDAR, etc.)
  • Experience in Windographer and data conversion software's available in the renewable energy sector
  • Competencies

  • Work in a structured and systematic way
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Good at Stakeholder Management
  • Possess Statistical and data analysis aptitude
  • High skilled in MS Office
