Job Description of MachineShop Supervisor (HOD)Theconcerned person shall be responsible for Machine shop consistingof Lathes (Medium and large size) VTL and Band saw machines forProof Machining and Finish machining of various types of forgingsShafts Blinds Tube sheets Gears Crank Shafts Rings Blocks etc. Theperson should be experience in Job Marking for machining to ensureoptimum machining condition.

He should beable to prepare Job card / Loading of the machine w.r.t to themachine capacity Motivate the workmen coordinate with planning headto optimize production in line with the stated priority andcalculate payments for the persons under Contract based on the workdone ( as per job card).

Comply with the discipline and prevailingrules and regulation of theorganization

Qualification:
B.E ( Mech.) with min. 2 years experience / DME with min. 4 years.
However this criteria can be waived off for highly experiencedperson.

Essentialrequirement:
a. Experience ofworking as a machine shop HOD in a forging manufacturingshop.b.

He should be able to Manage theMachine operators Machining Contractors and coordinate withmaintenance team for Autonomous maintenance (AM)/ PreventiveMaintenance (PM)/ Break Down Maintenance(BM)c.

Conversant with Microsoft ( MS ExcelWord ) ERP ( Preferably BizSol)d. He shouldbe working with coordination with Planning & Marketing tofulfill the commitments.e. Experience ofworking as a shop supervisor in a forging manufacturingshopf. He should have machining knowledge ofTurning Machining and its parametersg. Basicknowledge of Heat Treatment Material Grades ( Carbon Steel Alloysteel and Stainless Steel)h. Knowledge oftools and Jigs and tools /Fixturing
