The Role
As Project Innovation Designer you will be part of the Global Smart Integrated Design team in the Advisory Business Unit - India. The role involves integrating innovative solutions in Real Estate in both internal Planet projects and third-party external commissions, so to help clients envision the value for money they can obtain through a smart approach in Real Estate. As part of your job you will take part in the architectural design of the innovative solutions to be implemented, as well as oversee their integration in projects from the early conceptual stages, all the way to the spatial design in the specific project. We are looking for a multi-faceted individual with a strong eye for design, able to collaborate both alongside the rest of the Project Innovation team, as well as with the Product Design team and Project Managers. As part of a global team, you will also collaborate with team members in the Italy offices. The ideal candidate will have a consolidated understanding of the needs of our target users and the skills to translate those needs into physical solutions that enhance the living experience.
Main activities
● Smart Integration
Working in an advisory capacity, both for external clients and internal Planet projects, you will draft envisioning studies for a wide range of projects spanning globally. These begin as conceptual proposals following a detailed context analysis, and progress to project-specific architectural proposals to be integrated alongside an indication of costing and budget.
● Smart Implementation
Following the envisioning stage, you will liaise with the client as well as other internal teams or external architectural practices to overlook the realisation and positioning of the innovative solutions proposed. You will work alongside the Product Design team for the installation of these solutions, creating technical drawings and 3D visualisations to portray the project to clients.
● Tenders and Competitions
Partnering with and supporting other in-house teams and external Architecture and Engineering firms to take part in National and International Competitions so to increase the company's know-how in different fields and sectors.
● Solution Design
Designing format-type products and Architectural spaces to be inserted within our in-house catalogue of smart solutions. This will entail a research and analysis of case studies, the creation of design and use guidelines, and the modelling of the solution alongside the core-team in Italy.
Qualifications:
Must have:
● Masters or Bachelor degree in Architecture or similar field
Nice to have:
● Masters in the area of smart building and/or sustainable design
● Workshop participation in design thinking and human centred design

● Software:
Must have: AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to have: Lumion
● Languages:
Must have: English

Experience Required:

● Previous experience in a similar position (Architectural Firm)
● Participation in tender process with public administration
