Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and mentor Agile delivery teams with a strong focus on infrastructure or platform engineering initiatives. The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring team alignment with Agile best practices.

Responsibilities:

Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Team Empowerment & Coaching: Serve as a servant-leader to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. Guide team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices.
Progress Tracking & Metrics: Monitor sprint progress using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally; report on key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to stakeholders.
Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and resolve blockers that affect team productivity or delivery timelines. Coordinate with internal or external stakeholders to eliminate dependencies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Business Analysts to ensure clarity of scope, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
Risk Management: Identify project risks early and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure timely escalation of issues when required.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess team practices and introduce Agile improvements aligned with the organization's delivery objectives.

Skills & Qualifications:

Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) is mandatory.
Experience: 5-8 years of overall experience with at least 3+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master. Prior experience managing infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering teams is highly preferred.
Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks. Familiarity with hybrid methodologies including Agile-Waterfall is a plus.
Tools Expertise: Hands-on experience with Agile lifecycle tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, Rally, or Azure DevOps.
Technical Acumen: Solid grasp of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), or infrastructure automation will be an added advantage.
Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills. Capable of influencing teams and stakeholders without direct authority.

Attributes:

Exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or experience working in multi-team Agile programs.
Experience working in geographically distributed or cross-cultural teams.
Ability to manage multiple teams or workstreams simultaneously.
Coaching experience in Agile maturity assessments and organizational transformation.
