    About ADYPU


    • Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune has been established under Maharashtra Govt. Act III of 2015 of Government of Maharashtra and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).


    • The University aims to contribute to the creation of Innovation oriented Indian society by focusing on academic excellence in teaching, research and quality of service. Our purpose is to help transform individuals into the thinkers, dreamers and innovators of tomorrow and we are proud to call ourselves an Innovation University.


    • The University offers a comprehensive, future-oriented curriculum based around international standards. The curriculum enables aspiring professionals to go out into the working world with competence, maturity and the ability to operate independently. The university operates from the DY Patil Knowledge City spread across 110 acres with a student population of about 12000 students.


    • Our programs are highly experiential, hands-on programs with a unique learning experience to explore new ways of generating cutting-edge solutions. The emphasis at ADYPU is always on creating an exciting and charged environment, where a mix of youthful vibrancy with experience & maturity, global viewpoint with local reality, emerging technology with traditional wisdom, and existing knowledge with rebellion and constant questioning will lead to an exciting journey throughout the programs.

    • The university academics are organized under 09 schools of study. We conduct about 79 Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Ph.D. Programs.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    This is a role of great responsibility followed by various functions.

    1. Understand the requirements of each student and cater to their academic needs.

    2. Design an appropriate curriculum based on current needs.

    3. Focus on the details that bring about the development of a product.

    4. Monitor the process and progress of assignments.

    5. Provide accurate teaching and learning based on each student.

    6. Build a connection with the industry to benefit students.

    7. Build a curious and creative culture in the classroom to achieve the best possible designs.

    8. Identify relevant requirements of the department.

    9. Participate in the development of the department.

    10. Delivering lectures that lead to a positive change in the classroom environment.

    Required qualifications


    • Masters in Transportation / Automotive Design from a recognized university or institution.


    • Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching and/or in the Design industry.


    • Keen interest to contribute to Design academia.


    • A relevant portfolio of works.

    Preferred qualifications


    • A Ph.D. in Design with 2+ years of progressive experience in a relevant field.


    • Experience working with undergraduate and post-graduate students.


    • Extensive experience working in interdisciplinary fields.
