    The Head of Prototyping is a critical role that oversees the development of prototype vehicles and components. This individual leads the prototyping process from design to production, ensuring prototypes are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.

    About the Role

    • Develop and execute the company's prototyping strategy, aligning it with overall business goals and vision.
    • Lead the design and development of prototypes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product development.
    • Manage the prototyping process from design to production, overseeing the use of technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, vacuum casting, and welding.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure prototypes are manufactured to the highest standards.
    • Manage and mentor the prototyping team, providing guidance and support for successful prototype delivery.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in prototyping technologies to maintain competitiveness and relevance in the marketplace.

    Requirements

    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
    • Excellent technical skills and a deep understanding of prototyping technologies, including 3D printing, CNC machining, vacuum casting, and welding.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
