    This would be a People Manager + Execution Role

    The candidate must have team management experience

    Candidate would be the POC for Data Science.

    Role Summary:

    This is a leadership role that will head the Data Science team at company. This is a critical team that is expected to solve complex problems at company across credit/fraud risk, business, collections, customer service, etc through AI/ML to drive disproportionate and scalable impact on the business. You will work closely with founders and business/functional units to manage model lifecycle of build, validate, implement, monitor, and update across all models.

    Some examples of the problem statements that this team addresses:

    • Should credit be offered to a segment of customers
    • What should the interest rate, tenure, and sanction amount be
    • How to improve collections efficiency without increasing cost
    • How to reduce the cost of customer service operations using Gen AI
    • Which profile of customers are likely to take up loans with us

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Solve business problems across all functions using AI/ML with quantifiable outcomes
    • End to end ownership of model lifecycle management
    • Team management and stakeholder management

    Attributes we are looking for:

    • Level of experience: 8+ years
    • Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research
    • Should have financial domain knowledge of 5+ years
    • Demonstrable Modelling experience: In-depth understanding of model build and model lifecycle management across supervised & unsupervised learning using structured and unstructured data. (e. g. Credit Risk Scorecard, Fraud Detection Models, Propensity models, Optimization, Routing Optimization, NLP, GenAI etc. Strategic & Analytical Orientation: Exceptional Logical, Analytical, Reasoning skills complemented by rigor and strong quantitative orientation.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: Impeccable written and oral communications with ability to manage senior leadership engagement.
    • Strong business judgment and integrity: Should be a tenacious problem solver with good judgment and an open-minded approach. One who pushes the envelope but is rooted in ground reality.
    • Self-driven: Motivated and comfortable with ambiguity.
    • Team management: Ability to manage and mentor specialized team members.
    • Excellent coding skills: Python coding (a must skill) and adept to cloud technologies.
