Position: Associate developer – BI

The Associate developer – BI will be a member of the BI support group in the Medline Operations department, whose primary purpose will be
– to ensure the availability, accuracy, and efficiency of Operations application/repository data and their dependent reporting and application processes.
– to develop UI and Data visualizations solutions for business members at all levels of the
organization, providing insights to business stakeholders of KPI trends, root cause
determination, and the development of strategic dashboards and scorecards.

Some of the roles and responsibilities:
 Provide inputs in designing end to end Data modeling solution from a technical perspective to support Business intelligence needs of the Warehouse operations teams
 Assist teams with data/query optimization and the staging of information to ensure the accuracy and expediency of data access in Application and BI solutions.
 Supply guidance to team members/ designers for creating data mapping documents or unit documents for ETL (SSIS/Talend) & BI.
 Develop and maintain data models, data management standards and conventions, data naming standards and metadata.

 Develop and Retain expertise on application database and repository sources.
 In coordination with stakeholders, interprets business requirements into informative and actionable data visualizations in the form of automated distributed tabular reports, ad-hoc data requests, as well as interactive dashboards and Scorecards. Designs robust visualizations with root-cause identification potential.
 Understands key metrics and the business/System processes that influence them.
 Leverage a variety of BI Tools to deliver the insights required for the Ops Analyst teams
 Communicate with all levels of the organization to deliver strategic or tactical solutions based on intended audience and specific use case.
 Provides guidance in the interpretation of data trends and general inquiries regarding the information presented to consumers.
 Works closely with Data modeler in the staging of data to deliver tailored sources for reporting solutions that adhere to governance recommendations and ensures accurate/verifiable delivery of information to key stakeholders.
 Provides ad-hoc data support for inquiries into existing processes and provides analysis of future initiative impacts

Required Skills:
 0-2 years of overall relevant experience
 Experience & Exposure and strong ability in a variety of BI Tools (Webfocus and/or Tableau or Microstrategy, PowerBI)
 Any certifications in Tableau and SQL from a recognized institute with an experience of working on a project at an institute or college level
 Basic understanding of Data Modeling, Analysis, Data Profiling and Data Discovery on multi- application source systems
 Experience in business user support on ad-hoc data analysis requirements and future initiative impacts.
 Graduate / Post Graduate degree in CS, Engineering
 Strong understanding of key metrics, business/ systems processes in the experienced domain areas
 Strong written and verbal communication skills with a good confidence level
 Strong Logical and Analytical ability

Preferred Skills:

• Object Oriented Coding experience

• Basic Understanding of Warehouse Management, Logistics/transportation, or supply chain
domains
