    Job Description

    The primary responsibility of the incumbent will be to drive and execute on the Government Affairs engagement plan for the state of Maharashtra, which is strategic for Kenvue's India operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement government affairs plans for key states, especially Maharashtra, to support businesses.
    • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments at the state level that may impact the organization.
    • Shape policy at the state level to support Kenvue's businesses by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including legislators, government officials, and industry associations.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the company's business, including our people, operations, and external operating environment.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Report on the progress of emerging issues at the state level to senior management.

    Required Qualifications

    • 10 years of experience in government affairs or a related field at the state level, especially in Maharashtra.
    • Experience in large MNCs in Consumer Healthcare/FMCG domains.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in political science, public policy, or a related field.
    • Strong understanding of industry regulatory and healthcare policy environments.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Competencies

    • Proven track record of successfully advocating for organizational interests with policymakers and other stakeholders, with experience working in Maharashtra being a plus.
    • Ability to implement effective government affairs plans.
    • Strong understanding of local legislative and regulatory policies.
    • Experience in issue/crisis management.
