Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Plant General Manager to join our team. As the Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our AAC Block Plant located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This is a full-time position with an executive-level role, requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the AAC Block Plant industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing process improvements
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong knowledge of plant operations, production processes, and quality control
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all operations of the AAC Block Plant, ensuring efficient and effective production processes
• Ensure execution of production plan as per agreed supply plan.
• Communicate finalized monthly production plan
• Excellent management and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills (vendors/suppliers/clients)
• Actively involved in production
• Identify, initiate and implement technology improvements, which increase productivity an reduce scrap/reject rates through effective training of production personnel and process enhancements.
• Recruit, train, manage & develop plant staff including their performance management
• Ensure safety & security of manpower and factory equipment
• Maintain strict quality control checks and tools as required.
• Liaisoning with concerned departmental officials for smooth functioning of operations
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant performance and improve productivity
• Create and implement relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure plant operations comply with industry standards and regulations
• Lead and manage a team of plant staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure maximum performance
• Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure seamless coordination and achievement of overall organizational goals
• Monitor and analyze plant performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective actions
• Manage plant budget and resources, ensuring optimization and cost-effectiveness
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing strict safety standards and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
