    You will be working as Senior Engineer – Research & Development at global grade 13 and will be part of System Drives Business Area for Motion Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Research & Development- Manager. You will be responsible for Contributing to ABB's success with technology, software, product, and/or system development. Identifies and implements innovative solutions to relevant problems. Provides ideas and is able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

    Your responsibilities

    • In depth Analysis of the PCB component and find out the root cause
    • Ownership of the product quality on MOSD (Motion System Drives) products
    • Implementing engineering changes pushed by global team to the product manufactured in India
    • Customer case resolution for the locally manufactured global product.
    • Discussion with service and technical support team to solve field issues in product of responsibility
    • Ensuring smooth operation of the production testers
    • Updating Bill of material and product changes in SAP for products manufactured in India
    • Supporting to supply chain management for the material localization with global concurrence
    • Collaborating with other PE (Product Engineering) units & CoE (Center of Excellence) in MOSD(Motion System Drives).
    • HSE responsibility for areas under own control
    • Mentoring other junior colleague in the team

    Your background

    • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Power Electronics Engineering
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of drives or electrical engineering and in product engineering, power electronics or PCB development
    • Good knowledge of the PCB analysis will be an advantage
    • High sense of responsibility and commitment, ability to apply a systematic approach to solve problem
    • Effective communicator and self-driven personality are preferred
    • Knowledge in ABB's Products (Drive / UPS / PLC)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience in Engineering / R & D of Drives company (Allen Bradely / Danfoss / Fuji / Mitsubishi / Hitachi-Hirel) will be an advantage
    • Ability to apply a systematic approach and applying recipient centric and professional approach to the problem
    • Knowledge in ABB's Drive is an added advantage
