    Description

    Job Description :

    • Implement API First solutions in conjunction with the API development team.
    • Authentication Authorization mechanisms
    Experience with API security standards and implementation (OAuth, Open ID)


    • Design, build, maintain and support the Apigee Proxies, Shared flows in a Template based approach.
    • Responsible for design of API Gateway configuration
    • Establish best practices and implementation guidelines for APIGEE implementation and
    implement them for Security, Audit, Error handling and logging frameworks per API Design guidelines.

    • Designing and implementing the reusable assets and deploy API policies using Apigee Edge Platform
    • Review of detailed designs, to ensure appropriate security, scalability, reliability, end user experience, and business reports and analytics
    • Creation of Technical Specifications, Design Documents and data mapping keeping in mind the best practices and principles of Integration design and architecture and design Swagger, OpenAPI
    • Lead analytical and consulting working sessions to solve technical problems faced by the application teams trying to onboard to Apigee API Gateway
    • Enforcing API specification standards and Code Reviews of the APIs and ensuring that the solution conforms to strategic architecture.
    • Expert in developing and consuming in Restful, SOAP services with APIGEE Edge while integrating with Developer Portal
    • Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the Apigee platform and Lead root cause analysis session to understand what causes particular issues in Production and
    come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future

    • Knowledge about API design standards, patterns and bestpractices especially
    • Experience in DevOps and Monitoring/logging tools specially deploying API Proxies/Products in Apigee through CI/CD and monitoring them with ELK,SumoLogic, Splunk, Log Analytics is an advantage e
    • Mentor Junior Engineers to acquire Apigee knowledge and aid their growth

    Skills & Preferred Qualifications :

    • 5+ years of experience in IT consulting with excellent design and development experience
    • 4+ years of experience in APIGEE in designing API facades, and designing and implementing API Proxies
    • Handson experience in designing and developing high volume web services in Java using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML).
    • Strong Java development background and experience.
    • 2+ years of experience with Java frameworks & technologies like Spring, Junit, Mockito, Javascript
    • 2+ years of experience with SQL, Nosql Dbs.
    • 2+ years of experience on design principles and best practices in implementing machine 2 machine REST APIs.
    • 2+ years of experience developing in Agile & with CI tools like GitHub, Jenkins
    • 2+ years of experience with BDD & Test Driven Development
    • 2+ years of experience with Swagger
