    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    § Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong academic background or MBA

    § Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in one of the following areas is a must: direct investing in PE or in listed markets PMS, equity research, stock broking, investment banking or wealth management.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    We are looking for a candidate willing to work in a challenging environment with huge learning opportunities. Some of the areas you will work in are:

    § Assistance in the investment process. This involves interacting with prospective investment opportunities, investment bankers and undertaking business and industry research.

    § Oversight of accounting due diligence handled by external accounting firm at the time of investment. This involves specifying areas of focus, guiding their analysis and arriving at recommendations.

    § Working with legal firms to make sure that the commercial understanding is fully covered and the Fund's interests are protected.

    § Reviewing and analysing the monthly MIS and preparing reports for the rest of the team and investors.

    § Review and evaluate the growth strategy of individual investee companies at regular intervals

    Expectations of candidate

    We are looking for a candidate with a high level of drive and entrepreneurial instinct.

    Mid market private equity firms normally comprise of small teams with flat structures. The investment officer will play a critical role in the investment process, and thus a high level of intellect and sound judgement is a must. The candidate should possess the ability to pay attention to detail, and have persistence to dive deep into a research or diligence process.

    The candidate should have the self confidence and interpersonal skills to lead discussions with portfolio companies, due diligence agencies and investment bankers.

    This role provides opportunities for immense learning and professional development. You will typically work with first generation professionally qualified entrepreneurs. The investment team plays a crucial role in the growth of underlying portfolio businesses.
