    Lead development of a multi-year Data, Cloud and Data Products agenda and roadmap for WM, in collaboration with Global Chief Data Officer, India Data and AI head, business, Global Center of Excellence and technology practices, to solve complex client and operational challenges through data solutions. Prior experience building India Center of Excellence in one of the premier financial institution and academic qualifications from one of the premier institutions such as IIT or IIM.

    Roles/Responsibilities

  • Implements and maintains a data products pipeline for data mesh and cloud implementation establish data governance structure for selected data management capabilities
  • Implements and tracks adoption of a data governance framework across critical data for the unit
  • Implements solutions to improve data governance maturity
    • Implements management information reporting and tracking around data governance
  • Develops and executes a communication and change management plan
  • Collaborates with senior management in developing recommendations around policies, standards, and framework for data governance
  • Collaborates with partners across the organization in developing and maintaining data governance structures ensuring we are meeting business needs while balancing quality, risk and cost
  • Engages with the industry to learn about best practices and gain insightful competitive and regulatory intelligence to help in building excellence in our data governance initiatives
  • Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues
  • Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
  • Participates in developing division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication
    • Identifies and solves technical and operational problems; understands and recognizes broader impact across the department
  • Guided by policies and departmental plan, impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives
  • Knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
    • In-depth data governance, data management and strong financial industry knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
    • Strong project management and/or organization skills
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, dynamic environment with limited direction
  • Applies understanding of the business and how own area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives
  • Guides and influences others either internally or externally to adopt a different point of view
  • Experience

  • Graduate from IIT/IIM or Tier 1 institutes along with 12+ years of experience into data governance and data management is required.
  • Manages one or more teams; adapts department plans and priorities to meet short-term service and/or operational objectives
